What is
arbitrage?

Arbitrage is the idea of buying an asset in one market and selling it at a higher price in another.

Rather than focusing only on whether a market will rise or fall, it looks at differences between markets.

This website is here to explain that idea. Explore the basics, watch the short video and learn the terms you may come across.

Watch and learn

One asset.

Bitcoin is one example. The asset being compared is the same, even when it is listed on separate exchanges.

Different markets.

Each exchange brings together its own buyers and sellers. Their orders help shape the price on that exchange.

A difference in price.

Those separate markets can show different prices at the same time. This price gap is the starting idea behind arbitrage.

The price of Bitcoin will go down. It will go up to the moon.

Stop worrying if the price will go up or down. If you compare the price of Bitcoin in different exchanges, you will notice that the price of Bitcoin is different on each exchange.

For example, on Coinbase the price of Bitcoin may be seventy thousand, while in Binance at seventy thousand five hundred. First thing that goes in mind is to buy Bitcoin on Coinbase and immediately sell it on Binance to pocket the risk-free difference.

Yes, zero point seven one percent profit may seem like a low return, but imagine doing it several times a day. This is what we call arbitrage.

To succeed in arbitrage, you need a few components: professional guidance, high speed, fee calculator, reliable exchanges, lots of price differences.

Having this powerful set of tools in one place is exactly what we will provide. Happy arbitraging!

A FEW CLEAR ANSWERS

Good questions.
Useful answers.

Simple explanations for readers who want to learn more.

Is arbitrage the same as predicting the market?

No. The aim is to use a price difference across markets, rather than rely on a long-term rise or fall. But while orders or transfers are pending, price changes can still affect the result.

Why do exchanges show different prices?

Each exchange has its own orders, buyers and sellers. Available volume, demand, fees and limits on moving money or assets can all help keep prices apart.

Are these prices live, and are you linked to the exchanges?

The prices are examples for learning, not live market quotes. Exchange names in the video illustrate the idea; they do not show a partnership or endorsement. This page does not place trades or connect to an exchange account.
